Hidden Paths 2-day adventure

Overnight adventure off the beaten path

If you’re looking for an overnight adventure off the beaten path, full of adrenaline, nature and contact with Indigenous communities, this is the one for you!
Day 1

This epic journey starts with a mountain bike ride of 25 km to Alto Pacuare in the Cabecar indigenous territory. Our support vehicle will meet us there with all our camping equipment. After pitching our tents and taking a shower, a delicious home-cooked meal awaits.

There you’ll meet Doña (Mrs.) Ligia, a community leader who donated the grounds where the public high school was built, and we will camp in her farm which borders the mighty Pacuare river. In the afternoon you can join the family in their everyday activities, explore the area or just have some coffee and chill. The house is powered by their own electric plant and may have limited supply of electricity.

Day 2

After a nourishing breakfast we’ll break camp, and we’ll wrap up our epic adventure with the exclusive experience of rafting the top section of the world-renowned Pacuare River with class III and IV rapids. This is not the touristic section of the river, and very few people have the great opportunity of rafting this upper section, so we will have it all for ourselves.
