Horseback Riding Costa Rica: Explornatura Horseback Riding For Kids

The Explornatura Horseback Riding for Kids is specially designed to combine outdoor fun with a learning activity. To start off riders are driven fifteen minutes outside of Turrialba to a top of the line stable located near the small, quaint town of Atirro. Once at the stables you will be introduced to your friendly, highly trained horse trainer that will be assisting with your tour. Him and your Explornatura guide start by introducing everyone to the horses and talking a little bit about them and the equipment you will be using.

From the stables you move over to a corral area where everyone will be able to take turns riding around the area, practicing different gates and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. After riding your guide will set up a fresh fruit picnic for everyone to enjoy. There are several areas of the grounds that have different kinds of birds and animals like peacocks, geese, and water buffalos that you will be able to explore before heading back to your hotel.

What to bring? T-shirt, long pants, rain jacket or poncho, hiking or tennis shoes, a hat, sun block, insect repellent, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes

Age limit: 4 years old .

No previous experience is necessary.
